Vibrating Foam Rollers

This vibrating roller is giving me life right now! I have honestly never known anything provide such instant relief for sore and over-worked feet and ankles 🙌🏻 I discovered these rollers on a fitness retreat last year, when I had a particularly bad case of full-body DOMS 🤣🔥😫 Always the skeptic, I refused to believe my miraculous recovery was anything more than placebo effect, so snuck a quick look at the science 📚 There are 6 proposed theories for the mechanisms that cause DOMS, namely: lactic acid, muscle spasm, connective tissue damage, muscle damage, inflammation and enzyme efflux 🤓 The theory behind vibration training is that the vibrations cause your muscles to contract and relax around 25 times per second.⚡️If this is true, it may help your recovery from DOMS by preventing continuous muscle contraction/spasms, promoting lactic acid and white blood cell clearance, and hydrating the tissues allowing a fresh influx of enzymes 🤔 I’m also inclined to think these micro contractions may help mobilise the local fascia, removing any ‘fuzz’ or micro adhesions that have developed 💡 Whatever the truth - this gadget has saved my aching ankles and tender tendons on more than one occasion and I will not be giving up in a hurry! Have you tried one? I’d love to know! 🤩🙌🏻😄 xxx
